The World Congress of Architects in Copenhagen

2–6 July 2023, the UIA World Congress of Architects takes place in Copenhagen. Together with the six Nordic Architect Associations, and Nordic Sustainable Construction, SUSTAINORDIC are hosting the Nordic Pavilion.

The Nordic Pavilion

The six Nordic Architecture Associations are proud to extend a warm welcome to all participants of the UIA23 conference in Copenhagen.

SUSTAINORDIC has facilitated the collaboration between the Nordic Associations of Architects around their common role as hosts of the UIA23 Conference. At the heart of this collaboration lies the Nordic Pavilion, a physical manifestation of the Nordic approach to gathering around a regenerative future. The pavilion will be a space for inspiration and dialogue about how we can use architecture as a central tool in achieving the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals and collaborate towards a regenerative future.

Together we are committed to advancing the field of architecture through collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.  Let us come together, exchange ideas, and shape a future where architecture plays a pivotal role in creating a better world for all.

Copenhagen is appointed UNESCO UIA World Capital of Architecture in 2023, and in addition to the World Congress, the entire city will be a vibrant stage of events celebrating sustainable urban development.

The World Congress aims to make architecture a central tool in achieving the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, so join in when the entire built environment meets to discuss how architecture can contribute to a sustainable future – leaving no one behind.
