Visions for the future of Architecture – a dialogue from four perspectives: Political, Organizational, Professional, Educational

  • Bella Center, Hall E UIA23 Congress 5 Center Boulevard København, 2300 Denmark (map)

Yasmeen Lari says: “The future of the planet is in our hands. Architects have a very important role to play, and we cannot design just to please our clients anymore or just to please ourselves”

– Yasmeen Lari, first female architect in Pakistan, keynote speaker at UIA23.

Lari’s quote demands that we consider what leadership knowledge- and skills architects must hold to meet future challenges. Architecture policy makers, leaders and educators need updated tools for creating and protecting long-term architectural qualities. How may architects innovate the architecture firms we lead or work for,  influence every project we design, and prepare every student we educate - by applying new value-drivers encouraging innovation, and building the skills and resilience needed to meet unforeseen future demands?
