Nature as the client? 

Join architects and designers from around the Nordic Region in discussing the role of architecture and design in supporting valuable experiences in the context of nature travel while shifting the focus from the traveler to nature as the client. 

The rise in domestic and foreign tourism in northern areas calls for infrastructure that can ease access to and protect the primary attraction: Nature. But how much design is too much? Doing less as a design strategy - is that an option? These questions are an entry point for the second session of a three-part dialogue on Design in Nature. Can we design our relationship with nature?

The dialogue series is a spin-off from the Nordic project, Design in Nature, initiated by the Nordic Council of Ministers and managed by Iceland Design and Architecture in collaboration with Archinfo Finland and Design and Architecture Norway, where contributions from the Nordic Region stitch out an assembly of design strategies and solutions that promote responsible engagement and regeneration of nature.
